Before you update your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch to iOS 10.0.3, there are a couple of things you need to do: Make sure that you are running the very latest version of iTunes, currently v12.5.1. To check, launch iTunes, click on Help and then click on Check for Updates. If there is an update, follow the instructions on screen to update

Take a backup of the data on your device through iTunes and/or iCloud

 Disable your passcode or Touch ID, and Find my iPhone/iPad – you can enable them again when the update has finished
